Street artists have a way of drawing attention to urban decay, using abandoned buildings as their canvas to make a bold statement or transform their skeletal remains.

Graffiti artists all have an unmistakable style of their own and the graffiti style and skills of Vile, a 34 year old artist from Portugal is quite extraordinary. Using only spray paint cans, he ‘carves’ his name onto walls.

Rodrigo Miguel Sepúlveda Nunes lives in Vila Franca de Xira, Portugal, known by the name Vile, started spray-painting graffiti at the age of fourteen. He studied drawing and illustration and cartoon and animation films and honed his skills in various techniques and mediums such as charcoal, watercolor, oil as well as digital drawing and tattooing. Over time he became a skilled mural and graffiti artist and his talent recognized internationally with his art featured by brands like OPEL, TMN, Worten and the Portuguese Red Cross.

Both simple and complex, Vile’s street art shows views through the walls that may make you want walk in and explore further.
