Habits can be very strange…especially human habits.

Comic genius and artist Nathan Pyle has a knack for picking up on the weird tics of the world. His eye for the bizarre – specifically the bizarre which goes mostly undetected – is unparalleled.

That is precisely the entire premise of his gloriously weird and on-point series Strange Planet.

These comics highlight those certain habits in which we have become so accustomed to that we forget to notice the tiny details in them. These traditions and habits are so deeply embedded that they have become part of our very nature.

Through centuries of repetition and following the ways of those before us, these habits aren’t given a fraction of a thought. Nobody really pauses to think about how weird they actually are. Most of them have no logic behind them, but we are so used to them that we don’t care.

Except for Nathan Pyle. He cares, he paused, and he noticed. Then he drew out these hilarious comics to make fun of the weird patterns in human behaviors. He portrays them perfectly so that anyone who sees his comics will notice them too…and then maybe, with their eyes having been tuned to being able to recognize these weird patterns, they’ll even notice other bizarre habit details in real life. One could only hope!

Here are a few of his silly comics to inspire you to pause, and notice the strangeness of our ways:

Peek-A-Boo!
Healing
Pets

Drinking Coffee
Watching A Game
Decorations
Love
Legal Agreements
Drinking

Scented Candles
