Simon Qiu, a design student from London’s Royal College of Art has come up with a new concept that we at EducateInspireChange just love! He has manged to create a new tap that uses 15 percent less water and creates stunning patterns whilst doing so. I want one already!
Qiu’s design works by sending the water through a double turbine, which spirals as water moves through it, creating an elaborate and beautiful lattice of water streams. 3 different nozzles let users choose which water-saving design they’d rather use.
The tap design which has already won a iF Design Concept award back in 2014 also has a pre-set stemperature to reduce unecessary heating.
You can check out more of Simon’s designs here . But before you do check out some more cool images of his sleek and useful tap design below.
If you like this cool design then share it with everyone you know and perhaps this concept will become a reality and part of all our homes!
