Imagine your smartphone lasting for days and days without needing to be charged, sounds impossible, doesn’t it? Well, this typical first world problem is soon to be a thing of the past.

Avenir Telecom, a French company mobile accessories company, has unveiled it’s new super 18,000mAh battery smartphone. If you don’t know what that means, we will try put it into perspective for you. The average smartphone, if you’re lucky, could last you around half a day. The Energizer Power Max P18K Pop could give users around week of use. That’s 100 hours of music playback or 48 hours of continuous video playback.

As insane as it sounds, reports say the phone can last up to 50 days on standby, without needing to be recharged and can even be used as a power bank for other devices.

Size may affect your decision to purchase the EPM, it’s around the size of 3.5 iphones at a rather thick 18mm.

Aside from it’s incredible battery, which has ‘fast charging in just 8 hours’, the EPM boasts three cameras, a 6.2-inch LCD display, and 6GB of RAM.

People are obviously really excited about this new dark blue device. Here’s what a few on twitter had to say about it:

On person wrote on Twitter: “If you’ve ever said, ‘I’d trade thinness for more battery life’, here’s the smartphone for you!”

A second user said: “If you have a problem with your battery going dead too soon on your phone, have no fear. Energizer is coming out with a phone with a Gigantic battery!!!!!”

Another shared a bit too much information with their assessment, writing: “18,000 mAh battery? I’m wet.”

You may be wondering what this little beast will cost, it’s expected to go on sale in June for £517 (600 euros).
