Prepare for Halloween’s First Full Blue Moon in 76 Years

FullSizeRender

It’s clear that this Halloween will be unlike any other we have experienced in our lifetime. Aside from the events unfolding on the earthly plane, according to the Farmer’s Almanac, this will be the first time since 1944 that a full blue moon will grace our skies on Halloween. The potency of a full blue moon carries its own set of powers and as the veil continues to thin, we are invited to open ourselves to this celestial moment.

What Is A Blue Moon?

The term “once in a blue moon” is often used when something incredibly rare is to about happen. However, there is more to the phrase than meets the surface.

A blue moon is the third full moon in a season that typically has four. In modern times, we have come to know blue moons as the second full moon in one month. Contrary to its name the blue moon doesn’t actually look blue.

Significance of A Full Blue Moon on Halloween

Energetically speaking, full moons are always a great opportunity to tune in and release old patterns and beliefs. The full blue moon on Halloween amplifies this due to the spiritual veil thinning before the material world.

It’s been a year full of major shifts and changes which have brought stress and anxiety on to many. The significance of this blue moon offers an opportunity to open ourselves up to the guidance of our spiritual guides.

A great way to access the subtleties of this realm is to spend time in nature. Other options include meditation, journaling, and spiritual practices. However, for this moment, I propose nature as the teacher and doorway to connection.
