As humans, we get the luxury of walking the city streets when we feel like it or retreating to nature when the earth calls. On the other hand, animals often shy away from larger cities due to pollution, human activity, and racing cars. The current lockdown has caused an upsurge in wild animal activity in all of your favorite cities. They’re strutting down the avenues and quite frankly, living their best lives.

Tweets are filling up with videos ranging from coyotes to monkeys walking down the street like they own it. It’s a pleasure to see and another reminder that the world is still spinning with or without us.

No need to stop traffic for these adorable geese. They are practically the only ones on the road.

You might be stuck at home, but if you look out your window you’ll be surprised to find more animals crossing by.

Human curfew strikes and the jungle reaches the city.

There is more than just us.

Perhaps these fun videos might shed light on our situation. As humans have evolved to occupy city streets, an abundance of wildlife gets pushed outward. In some cases, this can result in the depopulation of certain species. The roles have been reversed and where animals typically hideout on the sidelines, they are free to roam as they please. The middle-ground encourages and reminds us that this planet is a shared space for all.
