A Reddit user by the name of OctopusPrime has brightened our day by sharing a pretty fascinating photograph, dropped in the subreddit NatureIsF**kingLi.

A green flower which resembles a collection of hummingbirds with the caption: “Check out these flowers that look like tiny hummingbirds!”

The post was such a hit that it raked in 47.5k upvotes and over 400 comments, with many questioning the legitimacy of the flower.

The scientific name for the plat which captured so many peoples’ attention is called Crotalaria cunninghamii, or commonly green birdflower or regal birdflower. The species is native to Inland Northern Australia, where the sandy, dune filled climate is rather perfect for its requirements.

The Birdflower has long been used by the Aboriginal to treat eye infections.

Some were still rather confused and needed help figuring things out.
