The 2019 Mister Global male beauty pageant took place in Thailand in September, being the sixth event since its inception in 2014.
This year’s final was held in Bangkok on September 26 with 38 candidates participating in the pageant with the theme ‘’Inspiring Gentleman’’. Although one of the main requirements of the competition is that contestants must be good looking, they should also motivate and inspire people.
The year, Korea’s Jong Woo Kim took the crown. He is 23, studying police administration and a model. As Mister Global, Jong Woo Kim must be an inspirational role model for young men around the world. He will also become a Global Goodwill Ambassador and participate in environmental and charitable projects.
These fine gentlemen were the runners up: 1st Tunisia’s Houssem Saïdi; 2nd Spain’s Jose Luis Rodrigo; 3rd Switzerland’s Kenan Murseli; 4th Dominican Republic’s Braulio Encarnación.
The highlight of the evening was, as always, the national costumes where contestants are given the opportunity to showcase their country’s heritage. As you’ll see below, this year’s costumes did not disappoint.
Myanmar’s Thiha Kyaw was the winner of this year’s best national costume.
