Drew Doggett has traveled to many unusual locations around the world and captured many beautiful images, but his photo series which highlights the unique relationship between this land and the horses,” In the Realm of Legends, has got to be our favorite! Ice and snow covered landscapes make these images all the more magical!
Doggett spent many months planning his two week trip to Iceland, where he was met with many challenges;
“Other than the innate challenges of documenting animals, the unpredictability of Iceland’s weather was the most challenging aspect of creating this series… I had to make the best of every single opportunity in front of me, because it wouldn’t be long before the rain fell or the wind picked up to the point of us needing to find shelter.”
The New York based photographer says he has always been drawn towards the places on Earth that are nearly impossible to reach;
“Iceland is a surreal place, and the horses are the perfect companions to this unusual yet breathtaking land; the combination of the two is truly unforgettable.”
“In many ways I was drawn to Iceland (and my photography career) because of my interest in adventure – one I’ve had since I was a child. Jules Verne’s Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea was one of the many books I read and re-read knowing that I wanted adventure in my own life one day.”
My Name is Kasim Khan and I am the founder of Educate Inspire Change. I have just returned from a 1 week stay at the world’s first medically licensed plant medicine retreat, it’s called Rythmia and is in the beautiful country of Costa Rica. During this week I had the most profound and transformational experience of my life and it’s not only me . . .over 95% of people who embark on this journey at Rythmia reports that they too had a life changing miracle. This magical place had such a profound effect on me that I am now dedicating my time to sharing this healing opportunity of a lifetime with you all.
