Greta Thunberg had brought a major change in our society with her UN speech on climate change. Her voice was loud and resonated with many people all over the world. After her speech, many people stood up and applauded her. But more than the applause was the response that her speech brought out. There were many people all over the world coming out to talk about the climate issue. There were many demonstrations with people asking their governments and different companies to bring about a change in their ways. Sustainability is the answer.
Many celebrities supported Greta Thunberg too but Fatboy Slim turns out to be quite moved by it. He wanted to give a tribute to this idol. And what better way to give a tribute than through music! The DJ mixed up certain samples from the activist’s speech in the UN and mixed it up with the music. His song featured on October 4th night at MainYard Stadium in Gateshead. The people not only enjoyed it, but they were also awed by the message that this DJ was trying to send out. The footage was recorded and it was shared all over social media.

Thunberg has shaken the world leaders by stating that they have always provided the future generation with empty promises. They have taken very little action against climate change and only the future generation is left to suffer from it.
The powerful speech by the 16-year-old activist has moved people all over the world. Fatboy Slim took these parts from the speech of Greta Thunberg:
‘People are dying. Entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction. And all you can talk about is money.
You are failing us, and the young people are starting to understand your betrayal. The eyes of all future generations are upon you.
We will not let you get away with this. Right here, right now is where we draw the line. The world is waking up. And change is coming, whether you like it or not.’
The words, ‘right here, right now’ was repeated in the song to make an impact.
The mix has gone viral through David Scott who had uploaded it on social media. David Scott mentions that he loves the mix and found it to be moving and superb. The clip was captured by Scott Jackson who found it very emotive and powerful.

Well, Greta is powerful and by remixing her speech in a song, it just empowers her already strong voice. We hope the best for her and for the planet too.
