The School of the Art Institute of Chicago came together with Pantone to create a transformed Seoul in Korea, specifically, their streets while the country was suffering through monsoon season.

Project Monsoon began with a team painting the streets with hydrochromic paint – a paint that only shows it’s pigmentation when wet.

East Asian inspired, murals of flowing rivers were elegantly laid down, awaiting a season of torrential rain, ready to brighten the grayest of days.

Swimming fish, turtles ans whales grace the streets while passersby clutch their umbrellas.
