Worldwide, Star Wars fans can hardly contain their excitement in anticipation of the premier of the new Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, due for release in theatres on 20 December 2019.
Meanwhile… die-hard fans got their fix at the newly opened Galaxy’s Edge, the first attraction of the Star-Wars themed section of Disneyland, Anaheim California. Some went as far as stealing, not from the shop but from the park itself, i.e. just about anything not nailed down, and selling their loot online at ridiculous prices.
Good news for more discerning Star War fans who would like to invest in more than a mug or menu, Filipino designer Kenneth Cobonpue partnered with Disney and created a collection of stylish, high-end Star Wars furniture. First launched in the Philippines last year, the range is available at selected retailers in the USA and include TIE fighter chairs and tables to Chewbacca hair stools, lightsabre-wielding Jedi lamps and more.
Check out the range below.
A TIE Fighter chair available in both black and white for $2,700
The Jedi Lamp coming in both a hanging style and a floor lamp style for $1,800 or $1,930, respectively
Emperor Palpatine arm chair for $2,535
The Vader Easy Armchair emulates the shape of the Star Wars character’s mask and comes complete with a movable arm so it can be used as a table for $4,320
A Wookiee “rocking stool,” featuring Chewie’s signature fur and ammo belt. $1,345
