It is widely accepted that people with Type O blood are at a major disadvantage when it comes to being healthy.  If you have type O, you are more likely to get ulcers — and believe it or not, to rupture your Achilles tendons. You are also at higher risk of cholera, thyroid issues, low hormone levels, and iodine deficiency.  The good news is that people with type O blood are at a lower risk for pancreatic cancer and face a lower risk of dying from malaria than people with other blood groups; that said, is you have type O, you are twice as likely to be a mosquito magnet than those with type A blood.

Despite all these health related issues type O people are considered to play a very important role in society. But why?

In 1930, a Japanese professor by the name of Tokeji Furukawa published a paper claiming that the individual blood types — A, B, AB and O — reflected the personalities of those who possessed them. And those with type O seemed to most certainly stand out.

It was found that type O people have stronger leadership energy, they tend to stay focused, and have some of the best qualities required to progress quickly in life.

In Furukawa’s paper it is shown that type O’s are confident, self-determined, strong-willed and intuitive; unfortunately, you also have a tendency to be self-centered, cold, unpredictable and can potentially become a workaholic.

The Japanese have long known that this blood type is special. They even sometimes ask if you have type O blood during job interviews! Type 0’s are some of the most responsible, committed, organized, and focused people you are likely to come across. They are also believed to be more logical and that their ancestors were probably hunters rather than gatherers.

But one of the coolest things belongs to people with type O negative blood, They can donate their red blood cells to anyone!

Do you know your blood type?

Have you ever donated blood? If you have not then I strongly suggest you do because it probably one of the most important and helpful thing you can do. Your blood can and will save someone’s life!
