We’ve got to face it that sooner or later, warn scientists; human beings will cease to be master and lord of the Earth and give way to an entirely new dominant species.

Although Homo Sapiens are the most developed biological species on Earth, experts have wanted that the time will come when we as a species will cease to be the most dominant of species on Earth, and give way to new heirs, among which scientists say could be a species created by humanity itself.

In this article we take a look at some of the future species that may exist on our planet in the future:

Make way for Intelligent Fauna.

Scientists such as Canadian bioethicist George Dvorsky, argue that the human being has the moral imperative to increase the level of intelligence of other beings, as soon as our technology allows it.

They point out that it is necessary to help animals reason and end the unfair advantage that man has over them.

The Grey goo.

The Grey Goo hypothesis, ie, the growing development of molecular nanotechnology, raises the possibility that the human race will perish, as a victim of a set of miniaturized robots, which could replicate without control, consuming all living matter on the planet.

Self-replicating machines of the macroscopic variety were originally described by mathematician John von Neumann, and are sometimes referred to as von Neumann machines or clanking replicators.

The Gene Regime.

American political scientist Francis Fukuyama believes that the idea of a ‘transhumanism’, that is, human beings improved through genetic technology, is extremely dangerous. Neither the WTO, nor individual governments, nor scientists, nor ethicists can effectively regulate human biotechnology on a global scale. So, who will settle the troubling questions it raises? Asks Fukuyama.

Transhumanism, that is human beings improved through genetic technology, would imply the end of equality and liberal ideas.

Artificial Intelligence.

Artificial intelligence: experts, such as Elon Musk and Stephen Hawking, agree on their concern about artificial intelligence, which could replace human beings.

“The primitive forms of artificial intelligence turned out to be useful, but I believe that the next development of artificial intelligence will mean the end of humanity – people, in their slow biological evolution, will not be able to compete and will be replaced,” says Hawking.

Future Humanoid Species.

Although many scientists consider it unlikely, given the evolutionary process of humanity, it is possible that, in a few thousand years, new species will emerge among humans.

The fact that by then humans are most likely to inhabit other planets and stellar systems, this development will open the door to the irruption of new humanoid species, adapted to multiple and different planetary conditions.
