1st Step to moving forward when you feel like you can’t let go of the past
I really believe that the first step towards becoming free, is not taking massive action going doing a load of stuff – but mentally and emotionally letting go of the past; which includes forgiveness. Forgiving yourself, anyone that’s ever hurt you and all past situations that cause you pain.
Forgiveness sets you free.
Have you ever felt blocked, like you can’t seem to move forward even when you try and do all the right things that make you feel good like, meditating, exercise, affirmations, and other things but you still don’t feel different?
Forgiveness didn’t come naturally to me at first until I realized I couldn’t move forward with my life with all of this heaviness in my heart was gone. When I chose to forgive I literally felt free and I felt a huge internal shift happen.
Not only does having emotion such as hate, anger, resentment, guilt block blessings it can also make you sick. Every thought we entertain produces a chemical that affects our body’s immune system.
We all have one magic power and that is to have a choice. We can choose what to focus on. What you focus on will determine how you feel. So if you choose to focus on that person who hurt you, you will notice everyone else who hurts you. If you choose to focus on all of the good things you will notice all the good things. Nothing has meaning until we give it meaning and what ever meaning we give it is the truth it becomes.

Once you choose to let go of everything holding you back your whole reality will change because you have changed your energy. When you change your energy you change your life!
Anyone you feel strong negative emotions about, try and see things from their point of view. Think of all the times you may have hurt someone and not meant it. Forgive them and forgive yourself! If someone has chosen not to forgive you, there is nothing you can do. You can only control yourself. Get better not bitter.
To move forward and live your dreams.. its time to let go, for your own peace of mind.
Try doing this forgiveness exercise:
Write out a list of all the things you feel bad about, even if its to yourself something you wish you have done, its time to forgive yourself. Any heaviness let it out.
Go through the list and read it out loud, as you go through the list, close your eyes for each one and imagine the situation and the person. Imagine standing in front of that person and say “I’m sorry, I love you. Please forgive me, thank you” (Google Ho’popono, its a healing Hawaiian ritual) and include whatever else you may want to say. Then imagine cutting the black chord between you both, and sending this energy up to healing light.
It may feel uncomfortable and difficult to do at first, but anything uncomfortable changes your life and this will set you mentally free.
