This disease is associated with self-punishing behaviors when it comes to food. People have emotional disturbance and try to punish themselves for eating much food when they suffer from orthorexia. In fact, they don’t eat a lot, but it seems to them that they overeat. Healthy food habits gradually become the central topic of all conversations when you’re talking to these people. Orthorexia is one of the issues associated with a perceived healthy lifestyle.
Balanced Diet against Vegetables
A balanced diet includes carbs, fats, and proteins that can be sourced from vegetables, fruits, and meat. It would be nice if you can exclude bread and sweets from your ration. Overall, healthy eating is a positive trend, but exaggeration has never brought anything good to anyone. It’s better to keep up to a balanced diet where all necessary ingredients are present. Some people like meat, others prefer vegetables. It’s not the case when one size fits all. The most important is to feel your body and its needs. Obsession with healthy eating can bring nervous or eating disorders, but balanced diets can never do something terrible to young bodies. Therefore, eat healthily but don’t be too much concerned about the food you consume. Otherwise, you have more chances to find yourself in a hospital rather than on the podium.
