Bikers are usually associated with “biker gangs” and people who are predisposed to violence.

The majority of the stereotypes associated with bikers are usually untrue and are rather harmful.

One hears about biker gangs helping children in need, pay tribute to veterans and assist abused women.

This gang in particular really, REALLY loves animals.

Donning outrageous tattoos, mean looking demeanors and massive loud bikes, Rescue Inc may seem intimidating, but they are cut from a different cloth.

Rescue Inc is an NPO which serves to rescue and protect abused and distressed animals. They’re also quite an interesting bunch too – varying in age, profession and gender, some are full-time hardcore bikers, others are weightlifters, former police officers, veterans and even lawyers.

They’ve infiltrated dog fighting rings, rescued horses, fish, chickens, pigs and even a boa constrictor!

With the sufficient evidence in hand, they collect the animal in question and rehabilitate them, sometimes crossing rather dangerous lines in order to do so – and some police members are not too comfortable with this. Is vigilante justice right in your books?

“Rescue Ink does whatever necessary within the means of the law — that’s what our lawyers tell us to say — to fight abuse and neglect of all kinds,” says their mission statement.

“Some people like to think of us as superheroes,” they say. “The truth is, we are super animal lovers (and protectors). Through the years, and through many caseloads, obstacles, and downright challenges, we remain strong and dedicated to our mission.”

Their work truly has done wonders for many animals out there. Breaking up fighting rings, prevented the killing of a stray cat, wading down sewers for ducklings, they make it look intimidating yet effortless. These guys are real softies.

Rescue Inc receives roughly 250 calls a day requesting assistance and reporting animals in distress.
