The World Cup may have ended last weekend but Rugby fever is still alive and well. And it would appear that it is not just limited to humans, either, as at least one spunky beluga whale in the South Pole seems to have caught it too.
The whale has been filmed playing ‘fetch’ with with an official 2019 Rugby World Cup ball near the Arctic Pole. A group of South African rugby fans can be seen throwing the ball out into the ocean. The whale chases the ball, before returning it to the men on the boat.
The fans were in the arctic waters to celebrate South Africa’s first-ever Rugby World Cup win.
The video was also posted on social media, where it has garnered over 12 million views at the time of writing this article.
