Do you ever just think, who am I? If you feel confused about life and really can’t see the next steps. Don’t worry, it could be a good thing. This uncertainty can lead you on an amazing exciting self-discovery journey.

Here are 6 things to know if you are confused in your life.

1. No one really knows what they actually want to be.
If you don’t know, it’s not your fault. When we grow up there is so much pressure to decide what it is you want to do. When you are in school, you get given the option to choose the subjects you want to take that will start off your career when you are about 14. How are you supposed to know? Most people figure out their career randomly by following their curiosity, nothing is ever guaranteed or planned, so if you don’t know yet, don’t worry.Even people who still know, still feel lost sometimes. Instead of putting pressure on yourself to figure it all out at once, relax and clear your mind, follow your curiosity and see where it leads to.

2. The best part is actually not knowing
Fall in love with not knowing, it’s actually the best part. If you knew every step of the way how boring would that be? When you don’t know, you are open to amazing possibilities that can lead you to incredible places and experiences. The journey is the best part and it will be only when you look back that it will all make sense.

3. Use it as an excuse to discover yourself
Use this time as an excuse to focus fully on yourself and explore and try everything. Take jobs for the intention to learn rather than putting pressure to keep this as a specific career path. Work on yourself, travel, work abroad. Figure out your values and what you truly believe in. You can check out this list of values and see what aligns with you here. Figure out what you really love doing and you will step closer to living your true purpose.

4. Jobs never used to exist

Jobs never used to exist, they were actually created as something to do because people at that time got bored, now there are 1000s of different jobs out there and opportunities to choose from, so no wonder everyone is confused.

5. Get your power back

If you keep saying “I have to ” say “I Choose to” using this language is so much more empowering and gives you the responsibility of your life: “I’m choosing to do this right now whilst I decide what I want.

6. Work on your mindset in little bits every day.
Success is what you do every day, so by creating small habits every day like clearing your mind, getting in tune with yourself and spending 15 minutes reading and learning will really help the journey.

7.  Trust the process
The best thing to do is to figure out what aligns with your design, some people are born to be singers, some people are designed to take care of others, everyone has a unique design that they can use. Figure out where you feel most at peace, then think about how you can use it to contribute. When you do that it will help you see a deeper meaning and a bigger purpose to the world.

8.  Just because you start late doesn’t mean you failed
It’s never too late to start and just because you figured it out later doesn’t mean you have failed. Everything happens at the right time and all of your experiences have lead you to where you are supposed to be.

9.  Invest 5 Minutes
Spend 5 minutes writing down what you love, 5 minutes doing what you love, 5 minutes working out how you can share your talent with the world.

That one small step outside of your comfort zone could change everything.
