Morgan Freeman is housing 26 hives of bees on his huge ranch in Mississippi. By doing so he has proven that unlike many celebrities he can not only talk the talk but that he can walk the walk too.
“There’s a concerted effort to bring bees back onto the planet. We do not realize that they are the foundation, I think, of the growth of the planet, the vegetation. I have so many flowering things, and I have a gardener too. Because she takes care of the bees too, all she does is figure out, ‘OK, what would they like to have?’, so we’ve got acres and acres of clover, we’re planting stuff like lavender, I’ve got like, maybe 140 magnolia trees, big blossoms,” – Morgan Freeman
He appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and when asked about how he takes care of them he said that because the bees are out of their own environment he has to feed them regularly and that much to his surprise he does not have to put on a bee suit or anything to feed them. Fallon seemed shocked at this but Freeman simply responded by saying he has no fear of being stung by the bees because he simply resonates with them, in essence he is ‘one with the bees’.
