The Reasons We Have Poverty Explained By Alan Watts, Carl Sagan & Jacque Fresco

Nearly 1/2 of the world’s population — more than 3 billion people — live on less than $2.50 a day. More than 1.3 billion live in extreme poverty — less than $1.25 a day.

”If we fail to take on responsibility for our own future, others will do our thinking for us”

Our governments, the media, our education systems have all been designed to keep us distracted, to keep us docile. If you can for just one second step out of the box that has been created to house your mind and just try to picture all those millions and billions of people who each day suffer, starve and even die . . .

It’s a painful thought which gets even more real when you understand that there is no good reason why any one person on this planet should suffer. Open your mind, ask yourself what can you do to help  cure poverty and then do it. Don’t feel helpless, because if everyone did what they could to help then tomorrow the world would be a much better place to live.
